Our Story
Forty-one years ago, a simple yet powerful vision took root—to uplift the community and share the gospel of Jesus Christ through music, fellowship, and love. In June 1984, the very first Columbus GospelFest was held in Franklin Park, marking the beginning of a journey that has touched countless lives across the city.
Over the decades, God has abundantly blessed this event. GospelFest has grown from a small community gathering into Columbus’ largest gospel celebration, uniting families, churches, artists, leaders, and partners from all walks of life. Every year, we witness lives impacted, relationships formed, and hearts lifted through worship and community engagement.
With every song sung and every connection made, we stand in awe of how God continues to use GospelFest for His greater purpose—building unity, inspiring hope, and strengthening the community we serve.
Our Mission
Operating in Excellence • Concerned About & Committed to Our Community
Excellence is at the foundation of everything we do. We understand that without God, we are nothing, and our mission remains clear: to strengthen and uplift the community in faith, unity, and love.
As a non-profit organization, we deeply value the unwavering support of our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. Their commitment allows us to continue making a meaningful impact across Columbus and its surrounding areas.
Looking ahead, we are excited to build new relationships and expand our reach so that GospelFest remains a beacon of hope, inspiration, and fellowship for generations to come. Together, we will continue to make a difference.
